Ohio Mother Kills Son While Attempting to Abandon Him and His Siblings

Potty training can be a daunting task but one Texas man beat his 2-year-old son to death over a potty training mishap.

On Saturday, July 25, 2020, Antonio Hicks Sr., 21, struck his young son several times during potty training. The child’s mother told authorities that she was in another room in the home at the time and by the time she went to see what was happening, the baby boy was unresponsive. She performed CPR on the toddler. Hick’s Sr. rushed the child, named Antonio Hicks Jr. to the hospital.

The hospital cared for the child, who had signs of previous abuse as well as the abuse that day. Hicks Sr. told authorities that when he walked into the bathroom the toddler was wiping feces onto the bathroom floor causing him to “snap”. In a rage, he hit the child in the chest.

Hick Sr. was arrested and is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail. The charges Hicks will face are unclear at this time, the autopsy will help the District Attorney’s office determine charges that will best fit the child’s manner of death.
