WILDOMAR, Calif. – A 24-year-old Lake Elsinore man lost his life in a traffic collision on Sunday, officials said.
On Sunday, April 28, 2019, at around 5:24 p.m., officers from the Wildomar Police Department responded to the report of a traffic collision on Bundy Canyon Road near Almond. Upon their arrival, officers determined that a Mazda 3 left the roadway, crashing into a street sign, a chain link fence and coming to rest after crashing into a cinder block wall.
When officers and emergency personnel arrived, the driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Alcohol and/or drugs may have been a factor in the collision, authorities said. The name of the driver is not being released at this time. A full investigation will determine the cause of the collision.
