APPLE VALLEY, Ca. – Two Apple Valley teens were arrested for the strong-arm robbery of a male victim who was depositing money at a Chase Bank ATM.
On Monday, January 27, 2020 at around 3:28 p.m. deputies responded to the report of an assault and attempted robbery at the Chase Bank located at 20236 Highway 18 in the Town of Apple Valley. When deputies arrived and spoke with the injured victim, they were able to collect information describing the 15 and 17-year-old teens. The victim sustained only minor injuries as a result of the assault that occurred as he deposited money in the bank ATM.
According to the victim the two teens approached him and attempted to take his money leading to a scuffle. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. Both juveniles were located near the bank and were taken into custody not far from the bank. He was booked at the High Desert Juvenile Detention Center for Strong Arm Robbery.
