PALM DESERT – Two Desert Hot Springs residents were arrested for child endangerment after Police from the Palm Desert Station were dispatched to the Westin Desert Willow Villas early Friday morning. At around 6:00 a.m. the officers responded to the hotel located at 75 Willow Ridge in Palm Desert.
When officers arrived they located a 5-year-old girl who had been bitten by the family dog. She was transported to the hospital for the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Through continued investigation, it was determined that she was left alone inside of the room with the dog.
Jazmin Lopez, 22 and Anderzel Lopez, 31 were arrested and booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio. Anyone with information on this case is encouraged to call Investigator Isaacs at the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station by calling (760) 836-1600.
