COACHELLA – Two Coachella men were arrested for the theft of air conditioning equipment from a vehicle and business authorities said.
On Monday, January 2, 2017, a vehicle burglary was reported in the 41-400 block of Jamaica Sands, located in Bermuda Dunes. A total of $10,000 in air conditioning parts and tools were stolen from the vehicle. Through investigation, the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force (CVVCGTF) learned that the same suspects also burglarized AC Houston Lumber and Greenday LLC located in the City of Indio.
On Friday, January 27, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. authorities served a search warrant at a home in the 48-100 block of Estrella Tomas Street in the City of Coachella. The residents, 35-year-old Noe Castro and 38-year-old, Carlos Tapia were arrested and booked into the Indio jail for burglary, possession of stolen property, identity theft, and fraud.
