Two Arrested Friday for Riverside Church Burglary

RIVERSIDE – Two Riverside men were arrested after breaking into a Riverside church on Friday. At around 1:45 a.m. the police were called regarding an audible alarm at the St. Andrew’s Orthodox Church in the 4700 block of Canyon Crest Drive.

When they arrived they were alerted that someone was still inside the church. The K-9 officer and his partner “Rocco” arrived at the location. Canine announcements were made causing the suspects to surrender. It was determined that the two suspects, 29-year-old Daniel Chun, and 30-year-old Willy Methu entered the church intending to steal items.

The two were arrested and booked into jail for burglary.
