RIVERSIDE – Two men lost their lives after the vehicle they were in collided into a power pole on Thursday night. Police from the Riverside Police Department and medical personnel responded to the report of a single vehicle collision on Arlington Avenue west of Norwood Avenue at around 11:00 p.m.
When police arrived they located a black Nissan Sentra with major damage, inside they located four adult males. Of the four occupants, two were transported to Riverside Community Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The other two occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.
According to witness statements, the Nissan was driving westbound on Arlington Avenue when the driver lost control, subsequently slamming into the city power pole. The incident remains under investigation, anyone with information regarding this collision is urged to call Riverside Police Traffic Detective K. Madsen at (951) 826-8723.
