HESPERIA – Two Hesperia women were arrested on Wednesday evening after they were caught loading a U-Haul truck with stolen property. At around 6:25 p.m. Victor Valley Station deputies received a 911 call reporting the burglary in progress in the area of Deep Creek and Juniper Roads.
The reporting party told dispatchers that two female subjects who do not live at the home were loading items from inside of the house into the U-Haul truck. Deputies responded to the location and detained both Rachelle Riley, 41, and Stephanie Barling, 28. The owner of the home arrived and were able to identify their property inside the truck.
Riley and Barling were arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Burglary, Possession of Stolen Property, and Possession of Narcotic Paraphernalia. Both are being held in lieu of $85,000 bail and are scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Friday afternoon.
