COACHELLA – Two male purse snatchers were arrested on Friday evening. At around 5:55 p.m., La Quinta Police officers responded to the report of a strong-arm robbery that had just occurred near Highway 111 and Dune Palms. Two additional strong armed robberies occurred within an hour, one in La Quinta and the other in Coachella. All three reported incidents involved similar suspect and suspect vehicle descriptions.
All three incidents reported involved a Hispanic and White man stealing their purses and fleeing in a white vehicle. After the final incident, which was in Coachella, the suspect vehicle was located and the suspects were detained. Property belonging to the three victims was located in the vehicle. Both suspects, Ethan Charnley, 18, and David Landeros, 19, both from La Quinta were both booked into the Indio jail and are being held in lieu of $30,000 bail.
