GRAND TERRACE – Two men; one from Mentone and the other San Bernardino, were arrested following an investigation into sex crimes involving juvenile victims.

The incident was reported by two juvenile victims on May 23, 2017, in the Grand Terrace area. Deputies gathered information from the victims who stated that they were both kidnapped and raped by suspects who they met through social media. The suspects, later identified as Ubler Garcia, 28, of Mentone, and Brian Lasaro  Quintanillagarcia, 19, of San Bernardino, convinced the juveniles to meet with them. The suspects then kidnapped them and took them to a secluded area where they raped them.

Months into the investigation on November 2, 2017, and November 7, 2017, the suspects were arrested and booked into jail. Brian Lasaro Quintanillagarcia was booked into the West Valley Detention Center and is being held in lieu of $800,000 bail. Ubler Garcia was arrested on November 7, 2017, and booked at Central Detention Center, and is also being held on an $800,0000.00 bond.

These suspects may have met other juveniles using social media and may have used a nickname of “Webs.” Photographs of the suspects are attached to this press release. If the public suspects these persons have committed a crime against them they are urged to contact the Sheriffs Department for assistance.
