MORENO VALLEY – Two transients were arrested after running from Moreno Valley police when they were found squatting inside a vacant home on Sunday.
In the afternoon of Sunday, December 30, 2018, officers went to the home where they caught the two suspects inside the home in the 13000 block of Persimmon Road in the City of Moreno Valley. When the two suspects, later identified as Avelino Mora and Andrew Garcia saw the police they fled out the back of the home, jumped the brick wall, and continueddown Perris Boulevard.
The officers pursued the suspects on foot and were taken into custody a short time later. Avelino Mora was arrested for resisting an executive officer, false information to a peace officer, violation of probation, trespassing, and an outstanding felony warrant for vehicle theft. Andrew García was arrested for possession of methamphetamine for sales, possession of marijuana for sales, resisting arrest, trespassing, and a violation of probation.
