RIVERSIDE – Two women allegedly stole a few thousand dollars in checks from an elderly man. The two females identified as Stephanie Hall, 54, of Riverside and Karrie Chastain, 49, of Riverside were hired to help the elderly man with simple chores and to monitor his physical therapy during the summer in 2015.
According to Riverside Police officials, over several months both Chastain and Hall stole the checks without the victim’s knowledge. Chastain was arrested and following her preliminary hearing on 17 counts of elder abuse and theft has been held to answer. The Riverside Police Department’s Economic Crimes Unit is asking the public to help to locate Stephanie Hall who now has an outstanding felony warrant on charges of elder abuse, forgery, and identity theft.
She is described as a White woman who is 5’8” tall, 190 pounds, with blonde hair, and brown eyes. If you know her whereabouts or have information regarding this investigation, please contact Detective Brian Money at (951) 353-7118 or bmoney@riversideca.gov.
