Two sprinkler heads activated, which kept the fire contained only to the battery bank room fire officials said. The fire was extinguished facilitating a dry chemical extinguisher, but the batteries continued to arc due to the water from the sprinklers. The sprinkler system was shut down and the battery bank was isolated. Firefighters ventilated the room. The approximately $1 million loss was to the Solar farming project itself. The property damage was estimated at $40,000. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
