SAN BERNARDINO – A 62-year-old San Bernardino man lost his life after being struck by a vehicle on Saturday evening officials said. At around 6:30 p.m. a dispatchers received the report of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision on Baseline Street west of Medical Center Drive.
San Bernardino Police were the first to arrive at the scene to locate Gregory Grady lying in the roadway. An AMR ambulance arrive at the scene shortly after and transported Grady to the Community Hospital of San Bernardino. Grady was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries at 7:10 p.m.
The driver of the 2006 Jeep involved in the collision remained at the scene of the collision and consented to a blood draw to rule out DUI. The results of the blood draw are unknown at this time and it is unclear if any arrests were made. No other injuries were reporting as a result of the collision. The collision remains under investigation of the San Bernardino Police Department.
