VICTORVILLE, Calif. – Four people suffered major injuries after a collision on Thursday.
The collision was reported just after 4 p.m. on Amargosa Road just south of Maricopa Road. Deputies from the Victorville Sheriff’s department and emergency medical personnel respnoded to the scene and learned that a white 2017 Nissan was traveling northbound on Amargosa Road and the gray infiniti sedan was traveling south on Anargose Road. Authorities said that the road was wet due to rain earlier that day. For unknown reasons, the Nissan lost control at the curve in the roadway and crossed the double yellow lines collide with the Infinity.
All of the four occupants in the Nissan were seriously injured and were transported to a trauma center for treatment. The driver of the Infiniti suffered minor injuries and declined medical transport.
Investigators are continuing the investigation into the cause of the collision. Amargosa Road was closed in both directions from Luna Road to Dos Palmas Road for several hours while investigators processed the scene for evidence and interviewed witnesses.
