Victorville Man Arrested for Breaking Co-Worker’s Jaw

ADELANTO – A 22-year-old Adelanto man sustained a broken jaw after a workplace joking turned violent. On Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at around 9:30 a.m., Victor Valley station deputies responded to the 9800 block of Yucca Road in Adelanto for the report of an assault that occurred the previous day.

The victim reported that he and his co-worker, Jose Luis Sanchez ,30, of Victorville, were joking around at work when Sanchez got upset and punched him in the face. The victim drove himself to a local hospital where it was determined that his jaw was broken. Jose Luis Sanchez was arrested for battery with serious injury at his Victorville home. He was booked into the High Desert Detention Center and being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
