BARSTOW – A 23-year-old Victorville man was arrested for the possession for sale and transportation of marijuana on Tuesday morning.
At around 10:17 a.m. Aikman Bonilla was pulled over in the 500 block of East Virginia Way for the absence of a front license plate and illegally tinted windows. When the officer made contact with Bonilla he verified his identification and noticed that there were multiple items of individually packaged marijuana inside of the vehicle. He asked Bonilla about the marijuana and Bonilla showed him a letter from a medical doctor prescribing marijuana for his “personal use”. He went on to explain that he was a MEDGUYS sales representative and was in the City of Barstow waiting for area marijuana phone orders to deliver.
Several MEDGUYS flyers and packaging displaying the MEDGUYS logo were found in his vehicle. Included were 937 grams of marijuana, 40 grams of CBD oil, 3 grams of hash oil, 21.5 grams of “Moon Rocks” (50% THC), and 4.6 grams of edibles. “Although Bonilla possessed a letter from a medical doctor for personal use, it did not authorize him to sell marijuana in the state of California,” said Barstow Police officials. “Additionally, the City of Barstow Municipal Code prohibits the sale or distribution of marijuana within the city limits.”
Bonilla was arrested and all of the packaged marijuana was collected and booked as evidence.
