VICTORVILLE, Ca. – A 26-year-old Victorville man lost his life after being struck by a vehicle on Monday night.
At around 10:02 p.m. deputies from the Victorville Station responded to the area of Palmdale and Del Gado Roads in the City of Victorville. Authorities said that when they arrived they found a black BMW sedan with a 22-year-old male driver and the pedestrian lying on the roadway. Through preliminary investigation it was determined that the BMW was traveling east on Palmdale Road and struck the pedestrian who was crossing southbound across Palmdale Road east of Del Gado Road.
Emergency medical personnel arrived and found that the pedestrian had died as a result of the collision. The driver of the BMW was not injured and cooperated with the investigation, which remains ongoing. . Palmdale Road east of Del Gado Road and west of Cahuenga Road was closed in both directions for several hours while the scene was processed for evidence and interviews were conducted.
