ADELANTO, Ca. – A 25-year-old Adelanto man was arrested for the alleged abuse of a 3-month-old child on Tuesday.
Detectives were notified about an injured infant under the care of the Victor Valley Global Medical Center staff. The child was admitted to the hospital with injuries consistent with child abuse. Detectives determined that the baby was under the care of Jose Aragon at his home in the 10500 block of Florence Court, in the City of Adelanto, when the injuries were sustained. Aragon was interviewed and at the conclusion of the interview he was arrested and booked into jail for Willful Cruelty to a Child. He is being held at the Central Detention Center in lieu of $100,000 bond.
The case will be submitted to the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s office for review.
