VICTORVILLE – A Victorville area transient was arrested on Friday after the owner of a vehicle caught him breaking into it.
At around 6:00 a.m. the homeowner called 911 to report the incident. Deputies from the Victorville station responded to the 12300 block of Rustic Oak Trail for a report of the vehicle burglary. When they arrived they made contact with the suspect, who was identified as Brandon Garner, 22. Garner was found to have ammunition in his possession and was also confirmed to be a convicted felon.
He was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for being a felon in possession of ammunition and burglary. He is being held in lieu of $35,000 bail and is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Tuesday, May 1, 2018.
