Victorville Home Explodes Cause Unknown

VICTORVILLE, Calif. – A Victorville area transient was arrested after attempting to kidnap a 2-year-old girl from Victor Valley Global Medical Center.

On Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at around 11:16 a.m., deputies responded to the hospital located at 15248 11th Street in the City of Victorville. They learned that the mother was standing outside of the hospital with her daughter when the suspect, later identified as Roger Gregory, 30, approached them. Officials said that he then grabbed the small child’s hand and began to walk away with her. Her mother grabbed her daughter and went into the hospital and told security what had just occurred.

Gregory saw when the deputies were responding to the hospital and fled to a nearby home. He broke into the home, but deputies located him. He was taken into custody after a brief struggle with deputies. He was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for for kidnapping a child under 14, burglary, and resisting an executive officer. He is scheduled to appear in Victorville Superior Court on April 5, 2019.
