VICTORVILLE, Ca. – A Victorville woman was arrested for kidnapping and beating her boyfriend after he attempted to leave their home to visit his children on Sunday afternoon.
Authorities said that the 55-year-old male victim attempted to leave the home located in the 14600 block of Crossing Trail with another female. Camisha Brown, 48, blocked him from leaving the house. “After several attempts he was able to get outside,” said Victorville Sheriff’s Spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez. “Brown followed the victim outside and took him to the ground. She got on top of the victim and began to hit and choke him, then attempted to drag him back to the house.”
Deputies arrived and arrested Brown who was booked into jail for Kidnapping and Inflicting Corporal injury to a cohabitant. Brown is being held at the West Valley Detention Center in lieu of $250,000 bail. She is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Tuesday afternoon. The victim sustained only minor injuries as a result of the incident.
