VICTORVILLE, Calif. – A 38-year-old Victorville woman was arrested for possession of the stolen medical vest stolen from an Apple Valley home.
Authorities said that Maria Guadalupe Martinez was arrested on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at 15628 Tenth Street, after she was identified by Apple Valley Detectives as the person who possessed the vital medical device. The device belonged to a 14-year-old, Allissa, a Cystic Fibrosis patient who used it up to four times a day to assist her breathing.
Authorities said that it was determined that Martinez was in possession of the breathing machine and coordinated the property to be dropped off in the 16000 block of Forrest Avenue. Martinez was arrested and booked into High Desert Detention Center for possession of stolen property.
