WEST COVINA, Ca. – A person testing positive for COVID-19 (Coronavirus) at West Covina High School has led to an indefinite closure of the district officials said.
It is unclear if the person diagnosed is a student or staff, but district officials said that the he/she is resting at home under quarantine. All school learning opportunities provided by the district are voluntary and will not determine or affect student grades. “Per the advisement of the California Department of Health and Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, students should stay home and minimize social contact as much as possible to kee p family members safe,: district officials said. Students are asked to avoid large gatherings to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
