APPLE VALLEY, Ca. – An adult female was allegedly raped while at a large house party in the Town of Apple Valley.
The home has been labeled as a “party house” by those who live in the neighborhood with large parties that are widely advertised through social media, police said. The female victim said that she was at a party at the home in the 19800 block of Tomahawk Road when she was raped by an unknown male or unknown males.
The victim went to St. Bernadine’s Hospital in the City of San Bernardino on Sunday, August 11, 2019, at around 11:00 p.m. An Apple Valley Sheriff’s deputy was sent to the scene to take a report and begin an investigation into the allegations. The victim told the deputy that she was at the party when at least one male subject sexually assaulted her while she was unable to consent. The night of the sexual assault there were around 700 people at the home and detectives believe that there may have been witnesses.
Authorities said that they have received numerous reports in the past several weeks of large parties where illicit activities were taking place including prostitution, underaged drinking, and drug use. “Nearby residents have complained about the loud parties and numerous vehicles traveling through their neighborhood,” Apple Valley Sheriff’s officials said. Detectives from the Apple Valley Police Department assumed the investigation. The investigation led to detectives obtaining a search warrant, which was served on Friday, August 16 at 4:57 pm.
At this time, the suspect or suspects of the sexual assault remain unidentified and the Apple Valley Police Department is seeking the help of the public.
