VICTORVILLE, Ca. – A 39-year-old woman was arrested for stealing a Uhaul truck on Friday.
At around 12:45 p.m., Deputy M. Martinez from the Victorville Police
Department took a report of a stolen U-Haul truck. Andrea Cecille Shelling of Mohave Valley, Arizona, went to a U-Haul lot and left with a truck, without a contract or the permission to take the vehicle.
“At approximately 1:35pm, Martinez saw the stolen truck near 7th Street and Mojave Drive” said Victorville Sheriff’s station Spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez. “With assistance from other deputies, a felony traffic stop was conducted and Shelling was taken into custody.”
Shelling was positively identified as the suspect and was booked at the High Desert Detention Center for vehicle theft. Shelling was released from custody on Saturday, August 24, 2019, at around 4:14 p.m. She has not court date scheduled at this time.
