RIVERSIDE – A female pedestrian died on Saturday night after being struck by a train in the area of Iowa and Palmyrita Avenues. Just after 11:50 p.m. dispatchers received the report of the train versus pedestrian collision. Emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene to find the female died as a result of her injuries.
Witnesses told authorities that the female adult walked onto the tracks and was struck by the train. BNSF Railway personnel responded and are assuming the investigation. The female pedestrian has not been publicly identified at this time.
