YUCAIPA – A 24-year-old Yucaipa man was arrested for raping an unconscious victim authorities said.

At around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, a victim called and said she was raped by Jeremy Carlos who was known to her. She reported that Carlos was still at her home at the time of the call.

Deputies arrived at the home at 34978 Avenue C in the City of Yucaipa, but Carlos had already left the home. Deputies conducted an investigation and learned that the victim passed out and Carlos engaged in sexual acts with her during that time. Since she was under the influence, she was unable to consent to the sexual acts.

Carlos returned to the home during the investigation and he was taken into custody. He was transported to the Yucaipa Police Station for an interview and was subsequently arrested for rape of a drugged victim. Carlos was booked into the Central detention and is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail.
