HESPERIA – An unmarked sheriff’s vehicle was involved in a traffic collision on Thursday morning.
At around 7:53 a.m. a collision was reported on Eleventh Avenue and Manzanita Street in the City of Hesperia. The collision involved a Toyota SUV and the unmarked Sheriff’s vehicle.
According to the Sheriff’s officials, the deputy was driving northbound on Eleventh Avenue through the intersection of Manzanita Street when it was struck by the Toyota SUV, that was driving westbound. The Toyota stopped at the stop sign on Manzanita Street, but continued into the intersection, failing to yield to oncoming traffic.
Although the occupants of both vehicles complained of minor pain, no one required medical attention at the scene.
