YUCAIPA – A homeless 22-year-old woman was arrested for assaulting her male companion on Tuesday authorities said.
At around 1:12 a.m. deputies from the Yucaipa station responded to a vacant mobile home in the 12400 block of 4th Street in Yucaipa for the report of an assault. When they arrived they learned that Jean Aragon, 22, a Yucaipa transient, and her male companion began arguing inside the mobile home. “ The incident escalated into a physical fight; Aragon punched the victim and cut him with a knife causing a significant laceration,” Yucaipa Sheriff’s officials said in a written statement.
Aragon left before deputies arrived, but was located not far from the location. She was detained and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Domestic Violence. She is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail and is scheduled to appear at the San Bernardino Superior Court on Thursday afternoon.
