YUCCA VALLEY – A Yucca Valley couple is mourning the loss of their Chihuahua, “Honda” who was shot and killed by an unknown suspect on Friday night. At around 10:17 p.m. Morongo Basin deputies responded to the 7500 block of Cibola Trail in the town of Yucca Valley for the report of a dog shot.
When they arrived they made contact with the owners, Michael and Deana Cowdry. It was learned that the dog died as a result of being shot with a pellet gun. The investigation is ongoing, no arrests have been made and no suspects have been identified. Authorities are asking for any information that may help lead them to the suspect.
