YUCCA VALLEY – A suspect remains at large after a strong armed robbery at the Walmart store in Yucca Valley. On Thursday night at around 9:30 p.m. deputies from the Morongo Basin Station responded to the store located at 58501 Twentynine Palms Highway.
Witnesses said that an unidentified male adult, possibly in his twenties, wearing light pants, a gray hooded sweatshirt, a blue bandana on his face, entered the store, and demanded money from a cashier. The suspect fled from the store on foot, with an undisclosed amount of cash.
A perimeter search was conducted facilitating ground patrol units, Sheriff’s Aviation, and a Sheriff’s K-9. The suspect was not located.
