JURUPA VALLEY, Calif. – A truck driver is heartbroken after the cat he rescued, along with her siblings two years ago went missing at a truck stop on Tuesday night.
Jeremy and his sister, Nicole are both truck drivers and both had stopped by Swift’s Truck Stop located at 3575 Wineville Road in Jurupa Valley. The cat, named “Manchas” was in the truck when Jeremy left briefly to make contact with Nicole. The two went back to the truck at around 11:00 p.m., and she was gone. He looked at the passenger side window and it was down. Jeremy said that she must have stepped on the window switch, causing the window to go down.
Jeremy and his sister, Nicole frantically looked for Manchas, but could not locate her. Eventually, they had to leave her behind and head to Las Vegas, Nevada. Jeremy thinks that she would likely be scared of an unknown person but she should respond to her name. Jeremy said that Manchas provides company and support to him as he drives. He said that he is staying local until they can be reunited and he said that he needs her.
“Manchas likes to wander around, that’s what I am afraid of,” said Jeremy. He said that he is concerned that she will leave the area, making it more difficult to find her.
