ADELANTO – A 37-year-old Adelanto man was arrested for child abuse after assaulting a 17-year-old victim on Saturday.
At around 11:30 a.m. deputies from the Victor Valley Staton responded to the report of child abuse in the 1140 block of Arlington Street in Adelanto. When the deputy arrived he learned that the teen victim approached Dwayne Johnson and confronted him about how he was treating his children. Johnson became enraged with the confrontation and struck the victim in the face multiple times and struck him in the head with a glass mug.
Dwayne Johnson was arrested on charges of child abuse and booked at High Desert Detention Center. Johnson is currently being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
