APPLE VALLEY – Town of Apple Valley residents are invited to bring up to four bankers boxes full of documents to have shredded and disposed of completely free of charge.
This is a great opportunity to get those documents containing personal information without the risk of having the information collected by those seeking identifying information to use in the commission of id theft crimes.
On Saturday, October 15, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m Apple Valley will be hosting this free event at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility located at 13450 Nomwaket Road.
This event will be taking place during the regular weekly household hazardous waste drop off, which is every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Materials including pesticides, wood preservatives, auto batteries, photographic supplies, medications, home-generated medical sharps, paint thinners, auto/furniture police, household batteries, herbicides, drain cleaners, antifreeze, fertilizers, poisons, chemicals, oil and latex paints, tvs. used motor oil, used oil filters, hobby/art supplies, computer monitors, electronics, aerosol cleaners, fuels, transmission fluid, pool chemicals, adhesives, sealers, and solvents.
Hazardous waste will be excepted only from households; no business waste, biohazardous waste or radioactive waste will be accepted.
