OAK HILL – The 15 freeway in the Oak Hills area was closed for three hours due to an approximately 40 vehicle pile up on Christmas day.
The initial report to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) reportedly came into dispatch at 6:35 a.m. reporting a single vehicle traffic collision. Reporting parties said that the vehicle spun out on the I-15 northbound, south of Oak Hill Road. Minutes later, additional reports were made reporting that multiple vehicles were involved in a collision at the same location. CHP officials said that one of the vehicle’s went off of the road, ending up on private property.
Nine of the occupants were transported to three different hospitals for moderate injuries. The collision is still under investigation, anyone with information regarding these collisions is encouraged to contact the San Bernardino CHP Office at (909)383-4247.
