RIVERSIDE – A Riverside man and woman were arrested after stolen mail, counterfeit cash, drugs, and drug paraphernalia were found in the vehicle they were in.
On Saturday at around 8:45 a.m. officers were patrolling at Anza Park in the 5700 block of Jurupa Avenue. This patrol was considered “extra patrol” according to Riverside Police officials.
They made contact with the occupants of a vehicle, who were later identified as Riverside residents, Justin Woodward, 20 and Jocelyn Sanchez, 24. The police searched the vehicle and located mail and information belonging to several people other than Woodard and Sanchez. Also located in the vehicle was methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia ,and counterfeit cash.
Police learned that Sanchez had a felony arrest warrant. Both Sanchez and Woodward were detained and taken to the police station. Through investigation, officers were able to determine that some of the located items came from an unreported vehicle burglary on Monday, August 8th.
The two were arrested and booked into jail for identity theft, forgery, possession of stolen property and illegal drugs.
