SAN JACINTO – Nearly 3 years after the senseless murder of 38-year-old San Jacinto resident, Jason Wasson an arrest has been made.
On October 17, 2013, deputies responded to the 400 block of El Dorado Street for a reported shooting. Upon arrival they found Wasson suffering from gunshot wounds.
Wasson was transported to Hemet Valley Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 8:56 p.m. Since the murder investigators have continued to work on the case. This investigation led them, on Friday, June 24, 2016, to 47-year-old San Jacinto resident, Michael Allen Diaz.
Diaz was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for the murder of Wasson. Anyone who may have information pertinent to the case should contact Master Investigator Button from the Central Homicide Unit at 760-393-3531.
