YUCAIPA, Calif. – Yucaipa deputies are actively searching for two robbery suspects who robbed and assaulted a computer hobbyist.
Dustin Fritzsche, 25, of Yucaipa, buys and sells computers and parts online. Although he works on computers and meets his buyers at Step Ahead Computers, he is not an employee.
Mark Khaleel Kibly, 24, of San Juan Capistrano or Laguna Beach, had purchased computers parts from Mr. Fritzsche in the past after meeting online. He recently contacted Mr. Fritzsche to inquire about the purchase of a gaming computer tower. They agreed on the $3300 price for the tower. Kilby told Mr. Fritzsche that he would be sending his girlfriend, Elisabeth Henery, 24, of San Juan Capistrano or Laguna Beach to pick up the computer from the store located at 34400 block of Yucaipa Boulevard.
On Monday, April 1, 2019, Henery met the victim at Step Ahead, she asked to see the graphics card inside the computer. Fritzsche open the tower to show her the card, and she asked that he remove it so she could send a picture to Kilby. She asked to step outside to take a picture outside. Mr. Fritzsche was concerned that she might steal the card, valued at $700, so he followed her outside.
When he stepped outside of the door, he was immediately confronted by Kilby, who grabbed him by the throat and began striking him with his fists and an unknown object. Kilby then ran from the scene with Mr. Fritzsche chasing him across Yucaipa Boulevard while Henery ran east toward 4th Street. Kilby circled the area then ran eastbound to a vehicle, where Henery was waiting. Fritzsche suffered minor injuries as a result of the assault.
Kilby was recorded by witnesses as he ran through the area and provided the license plate to deputies. Deputies obtained a photograph of the suspect’s vehicle, a black Scion FRS sports car with California plate 7ARP381. Investigation showed the suspects frequent the Laguna Beach area and have ties to the San Juan Capistrano area. It is not known what ties the suspects have to Yucaipa.
Deputy Coillot obtained arrest warrants for Kilby and Henery, with bail set at $250,000 each, and deputies are actively looking for the suspects.
Anyone with information related to the investigation is asked to contact the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Yucaipa Station at (909) 918-2305. Anyone
