PHELAN – An outdoor marijuana grow was located in Phelan on Wednesday afternoon. At around 1:45 p.m. Sheriff’s Marijuana Enforcement Team investigators served a search warrant on the vacant property located in the 15000 block of Sheep Creek Road. During the search, a large outdoor grow with 1500 marijuana plants was found at the location. Two subjects were on the property at the time of the search warrant execution. The size of the plants, both growing and recently harvested, indicated that the that the marijuana grow was there for several months. During the investigation, it was determined that 54-year-old Corona resident, Dean Wagner was responsible for the illegal marijuana grow. The site was littered with trash and several unpermitted structures, serving as greenhouses were located on the premises.

The Sheriff’s Gangs/Narcotics Division will continue to enforce California marijuana laws as well as the San Bernardino County Ordinances regarding marijuana cultivation and distribution.
