HESPERIA, Ca. – Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting murder of a 17-year-old Hesperia boy, officials said.
At around 7:34 p.m., deputies from the Hesperia station responded to the report of shots heard in the 16200 block of Sultana Street. When they arrived they found several fired cartridge casings in the roadway. Around ten minutes later, at 7:44 p.m. they learned that there was a victim who was dropped off at a local hospital who was suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was identified as David Becerra.
Despite life saving efforts, Becessa died as a result of his injuries at around 8:00 p.m. Homicide detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation. So far, authorities believe that the fired cartridge casings located on Sultana Street are related to the shooting that killed Becerra.
