Barstow Man Arrested for Molesting Several Foster Children

Man Tossed From Vehicle & Struck by Big Rig After Driver Attempts to Pass on Shoulder

BARSTOW – A 34-year-old Barstow man was arrested for illegal sexual activity with a minor after police caught the crime in progress.

On Sunday, August 5, 2018, at around 9:20 p.m. police officers were in the area of Foglesong Park in the 400 block of Avenue G, when they observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot. Officers noticed that the vehicle was occupied by a male subject in the driver’s seat of the vehicle and a female in the front passenger seat. They continued to watch the vehicle and the vehicle occupants. While they were watching, the female bent her head down into the lap of the male subject, later identified as Jerome Marcus Adams. Two officers approached the vehicle and were able to see that the female was orally copulating the Adams.

The officers made contact with the occupants and learned that the female passenger with Adams was a 15-year-old minor. The minor was interviewed at the scene and Adams was arrested. The female was taken into protective custody and was later released to her parents. Adams was learned to be on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS), and was placed on a probation hold in addition to his arrest for Oral Copulation with a Minor. He is being held at the High Desert Detention Center on a no bail hold at this time.
