Barstow Man Behind Bars After Thursday Morning Burglary

BARSTOW – A 33- year-old Barstow man was arrested for burglarizing a Coldwell Banker located at 530 Barstow Road on Thursday morning. At around 3:09 p.m. officers from the Barstow Police Station responded to a commercial burglary alarm, indicating that glass had been broken and there was motion inside the location. When they arrived they located Christopher Hollos exiting the business through a door. In his possession there appeared to be a laptop computer Barstow station officials said.

The officers approached Hollos causing him to flee on foot. Additional units responded the scene in order to locate Hollos who was located hiding in bushes on the property a short time later. Also in the bushes where Hollos was hiding was two laptop computers and a computer monitor. At the business officers found a broken window. A representative from the business responded and confirmed laptops and monitor were stolen from inside the business

Hollos, who has a lengthy criminal history and was on parole for an unrelated conviction was arrested and booked into the Barstow jail.  He is being held in lieu of $25,000 bail and is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Tuesday, February 21, 2017.
