BARSTOW – Two Barstow men were arrested for being in possession of a stolen vehicle on Friday afternoon authorities said. The vehicle, a 1999 black colored Honda Civic, which was equipped with LoJack was reported stolen to the Barstow Police at around 12:49 p.m.
When located at around 3:35 p.m., with the help of a LoJack hit the black Honda in the process of being stripped was found in a closed garage in the 37000 block of Torres Avenue. Also at the property was Mike Barnes, 34, and Brandon Riley, 32. A record check revealed that Barnes was on felony parole and Riley was on felony probation. Barnes and Riley were both arrested for receiving stolen property and were booked into jail. The investigation is ongoing.
