BIG BEAR – A 42-year-old Big Bear City man lost his life after crashing his motorcycle Sunday afternoon. At around 3:10 p.m. Stanley James Snodgrass was riding his 1986 Honda Interceptor motorcycle heading eastbound on West North Shore Drive when he entered a left-hand curve near Van Dusen Canyon Road.
For reasons still under investigation the motorcycle went out of control, leaving the roadway and crashing into a fence. Snodgrass was taken by ambulance to Bear Valley Community Hospital where died in the emergency room just after 3:50 p.m. The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
