RANCHO CUCAMONGA – Early Tuesday morning deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga station responded to a single-vehicle traffic collision near Colonial Drive and Emmett Way. When deputies arrived just after 6:00 a.m. they determined that the collision was a result of a domestic violence situation that began in the City of Colton.
Raul Mancillas, 25, of Bloomington drove the victim and their three children from the location while the two argued and physically fought. Mancillas, according to authorities said that he would crash the vehicle into a wash and kill everyone. When the vehicle struck a light pole the victim and two children got out of the vehicle and walked away leaving Mancillas and a one-year-old child with the vehicle.
Deputies were concerned due to the comments made earlier sparking an area search for Mancillas and the small child. At around 8:45 a.m. the two were located in around ½ mile from the scene in a condominium complex. Mancillas was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for domestic violence and criminal threats. The child was unharmed and returned to the victim.
