FONTANA – A 28-year-old Bloomington woman was arrested for the theft of a work truck and its contents. On Sunday, January 1, 2017, the victim noticed that his work truck that contained tools that were needed for his employment had been stolen from his home. He later located his truck only about ½ mile from his home.
When the truck was located, all of the construction tools were gone. An investigation was conducted and the stolen items were located on an auction website for sale, some already sold. Investigators identified the account holder as Christalin Castelan.
On Monday, January 2, 2017, investigators from the Fontana Station executed a search warrant of Castelan’s home. During the search the property belonging to the victim, as well as other stolen items were located. Authorities said that Castelan has an extensive criminal history and various narcotic and theft-related arrests. She was booked into the Central Detention Center for possession of stolen property.
