ADELANTO – The City of Adelanto announced the holiday plans for this year, which include the Christmas tree lighting, the annual Christmas parade, and the annual bike giveaway.

The Christmas will help get Adelanto residents in the Christmas spirit. The annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony will be held in front of the City Hall on November 29th at 6:30 p.m.  Santa Claus will be taking time out of his busy schedule to be at the Christmas tree lighting ceremony. There will also be carolers and refreshments for all who attend.

Want to be part of the 14th annual Christmas parade?  Entries will be accepted until Monday, November 15, 2018, at 6:00 p.m.  The Christmas parade will be held on Saturday, December 8th at 10:00 a.m. The parade route will begin at Seneca and Aster Roads and will end at Desert Trails Elementary School on Bellflower.

Want to help those less fortunate?  If your child is a student in Adelanto they are able to donate unexpired canned or boxed foods in order to help those in need. Students who do so will receive a “Golden Ticket” The collected items will go to the High Desert Outreach and Adelanto Community Resource Center food banks. The Golden tickets can be submitted until November 15th for a chance to win a bike. Winners will receive their bikes on December 12th, at the City Council meeting.
