HESPERIA – The City of Hesperia is inviting residents to join them and provide input at the Hazard Mitigation Plan Stakeholder meeting on Monday. The plan will be updated and community participation is essential to updating it with the community needs in mind.
The meeting will take place at the Police Community Room located at 15840 Smoke Tree Street on Monday, January 9, 2017, from 3:00-4:00 p.m. RSVP is not required and a short survey will be available to help those in attendance to help city officials gather input regarding locations within the city that may be vulnerable to natural disasters. The survey can also be found online for those who are unable to attend.
City officials said that the survey results will help to identify and coordinate projects focused on reducing the risk of injury or damage to property for future hazard events including; wildfires, floods, earthquakes. Anyone in need of additional information should call (760)947-1018.
