MECCA – A Mecca man was arrested for drugging and raping a victim in October 2016 officials said. Thermal Station deputies investigated the allegations into the sexual assault. The investigation led to a search warrant of the home of 26-year-old Erick Ceja Galvez in the 91-000 Block of 66th Avenue in Mecca.
On Thursday, January 26, 2017, at around 3:40 p.m. deputies arrived they made contact with Galvez and arrested him without incident. Authorities said that Galvez was found to be in possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell. Galvez faces charges of drugging and raping the victim and possession of a controlled substance for sale. He was booked into the Indio Jail.
